About Mynto
Mynto is Norwegian accounting software with a built-in AI accountant, built in Stavanger. The goal is simple: small businesses should not have to do bookkeeping. Mynto connects your bank, books every movement with double-entry bookkeeping on the Norwegian chart of accounts, sends invoices, runs payroll and watches VAT and Altinn deadlines.

Who is behind Mynto?
Mynto is developed by Eksire AS, a Norwegian limited company registered with the Brønnøysund Register Centre under org no 821 482 372, based in Stavanger. The service is built by Asbjørn Rørvik. Your contracting party is Eksire AS — as stated in the terms and the data processing agreement.
Who holds the PSD2 licence for the bank connection?
Mynto does not hold a banking licence itself — bank connectivity goes through licensed institutions: Enable Banking Oy (a licensed account information service provider supervised by the Finnish FSA) for PSD2 access to Norwegian banks, and Folio Bank AS (a Norwegian bank) for accounts and payouts. You always authenticate directly with your own bank using BankID — Mynto never sees your banking credentials.
Where is my data stored?
Accounting and personal data is stored in the EU: the database with Neon in Frankfurt, the web application in Stockholm and the backend in EU West. The full supplier chain is public in the sub-processor list, which forms a binding part of the data processing agreement.
Can I get my data out if I want to leave?
Yes. Your books can be exported as SAF-T at any time — the standard format required by the Norwegian Tax Administration and readable by every Norwegian accounting system. You can move to Fiken, Tripletex or any other system without asking us for permission. If you delete your account, your data is deleted in line with the privacy policy.
Who is responsible for the books?
Mynto is accounting software with a built-in AI accountant — not an accounting firm. Mynto does the bookkeeping and watches the deadlines, but you approve and remain responsible for your own books, just like in other do-it-yourself systems. Everything Mynto proposes can be reviewed, overridden and traced in the voucher history.
